Preston Taumua is a 6'4", 325-pound left tackle from Waipahu, Hawaii, currently a redshirt sophomore at Nebraska. He arrived as a four-star recruit ranked 273rd nationally in the 2024 class and was considered Hawaii's top player. At Waipahu High School, Taumua helped lead the Marauders to back-to-back state championship game appearances, including a 53-28 victory over Konawaena in the Division I finals as a senior when the team went 8-4. As a junior, Waipahu posted an 11-2 record and reached the state finals. Taumua redshirted in 2024 and appeared in two games in 2025 against Akron and Houston Christian. He is a criminology and criminal justice major and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2025.
