Gunnar Gottula is a 6'6", 305-pound left tackle from Lincoln, Nebraska, where he played for Southeast High School under his father Ryan's coaching. A three-year starter for the Knights, he earned first-team All-Nebraska and first-team Super-State honors as a senior. Gottula joined Nebraska as a redshirt in 2023, appearing in four games. In 2024, he played in 11 games with nine starts at left tackle, helping quarterback Dylan Raiola set the program's freshman passing record. During the 2025 season, Gottula started seven games before a season-ending injury—four at left tackle and three at right tackle. His blocking contributed to running back Emmett Johnson earning first-team All-American and Big Ten Running Back of the Year honors. He was named to the analytics services National Team of the Week at right tackle following the Michigan State game. Gottula is a six-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and management major.
