Jamari Brown is a true freshman wide receiver for Nebraska from Chicago, Illinois. He attended Mount Carmel High School, where he played alongside fellow Husker Claude Mpouma. As a senior in 2025, Brown helped Mount Carmel win a Class 8A state championship with a 14-0 record. Previously, during his junior season at Fort Wayne Northrop High School in Indiana, he recorded 46 receptions for 697 yards and nine touchdowns, along with 36 carries for 205 yards and two touchdowns. Brown was rated a three-star prospect. He is majoring in nutrition and health sciences.
