Jordyn Best is a cornerback for NC State who enrolled midyear in 2026. The 5'10", 171-pound true freshman from Hopkins, South Carolina, attended Ridgeview High School, where he played under Coach Derek Howard. As a prep standout, Best recorded 90 tackles and five interceptions across his career. During his senior season, he allowed just two catches for 28 yards and no touchdowns while serving as a team captain. Best was recognized as a three-star prospect and the No. 94 cornerback nationally. He also competed in track, winning the 100-meter state championship and earning Sprinter of the Year honors.
