Brian Nelson II is a right cornerback who transferred to NC State in June 2025 after two seasons at North Texas. As a freshman in 2023, he appeared in four games while redshirting and finished with six tackles and three pass breakups. In 2024, Nelson saw action in 12 games with eight starts and earned first-team All-AAC honors from College Football Network. He tied for second in the conference with four interceptions during the regular season and recorded an interception, one tackle for loss, and eight tackles in a game against Texas Tech. At NC State in 2025, he has registered 21 solo tackles, 29 total tackles, six pass deflections, and one tackle for loss.
