Chase Bond is a 6'4", 265-pound defensive end for NC State from Massillon, Ohio, where he attended Washington High School. As a high school player under coach Nate Moore, Bond recorded 79 tackles, 21.5 sacks, and 28 tackles for loss while earning Defensive Player of the Year honors and all-state recognition. He joined the Wolfpack in January 2024 but did not appear in games that season. In 2025 as a redshirt sophomore, Bond recorded 11 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 5.5 tackles for loss while adding two quarterback hurries. He has gained almost 20 pounds since arriving on campus.
