AJ Rice is a linebacker for Mississippi State who hails from Crawford, Mississippi, and attended Madison Academy. A consensus 3-star recruit, Rice committed to the Bulldogs on September 4, 2023. During his true freshman season in 2025, he appeared in two games and recorded one tackle before earning a redshirt. He made his collegiate debut against Alcorn State on September 13 and also suited up for the Duke's Mayo Bowl. At the high school level, Rice totaled 134 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery while earning First Team All-State honors in 2023.
