Simon Seidl is a defensive back for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The redshirt sophomore from Hugo, Minnesota, attended Hill-Murray High School in Maplewood, where he was a consensus three-star recruit. As a senior, Seidl made 30 tackles, caught 24 passes for 408 yards and nine touchdowns, and recorded one pass breakup and one fumble recovery. He missed the 2024 season due to injury. In his 2025 freshman season, Seidl played in eight games and recorded one tackle, including one on special teams against Nebraska. He earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2025.
