Garrison Monroe is a redshirt junior safety for the Minnesota Golden Gophers from Shakopee, Minnesota. A three-star recruit in the 2023 class, Monroe redshirted in 2023 before appearing in 12 games during his freshman season in 2024, primarily on special teams. In 2025, his sophomore year, he played in four games and recorded three total tackles, one-half tackle for loss, and forced one fumble against Northwestern State. Monroe has earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in both 2024 and 2025.
