Rico Blassingame is a freshman wide receiver for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The 6'1", 170-pound receiver comes from Tolleson, Arizona, where he played for Tolleson Union High School under coach Richard Wellbrock. As a senior, Blassingame caught 65 passes for 1,001 yards and 14 touchdowns. Over his high school career, he recorded 178 receptions for 2,284 yards and 20 scores, setting multiple school records. He earned three-time First Team All-Region honors and was rated a four-star recruit by recruiting services, ranked No. 51 at his position nationally and No. 4 in Arizona.
