Jalen Smith is a 6'1", 195-pound wide receiver from Mankato, Minnesota, where he attended Mankato West High School. A redshirt sophomore at Minnesota, Smith has been a member of the Golden Gophers for three years and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2025. In his freshman season, he appeared in all 13 games and recorded 28 receptions for 419 yards and four touchdowns, including a 78-yard reception. His longest play of the season came against Buffalo on a 60-yard touchdown. Smith caught six passes for 64 yards against New Mexico, which included the overtime game-winner.
