Niko Castillo is a freshman running back for the Minnesota Golden Gophers who stands 6'1" and weighs 235 pounds. A native of Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania, Castillo attended Schuylkill Haven Area High School, where he wore No. 8 and compiled 2,756 all-purpose yards across his career, including 1,743 rushing yards and 603 receiving yards, along with 40 touchdowns. He also recorded 252 tackles, 13.0 sacks, and 7 interceptions in high school. A three-star prospect ranked No. 64 nationally as an athlete and No. 24 in Pennsylvania by national outlets, Castillo competed in track and field in addition to football.
