Korey Smith is a middle linebacker for Middle Tennessee State, standing 5'11" and weighing 216 pounds. The junior from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, attended Oakland High School, where he earned three-star recruit status from recruiting services and was named Class 6A All-State in 2023. Smith played in all 12 games during the 2025 season with five starts, recording 38 total tackles, 19 solo tackles, one interception, two pass deflections, and one fumble recovery across 390 defensive snaps. His best performance came against FIU, where he registered four tackles and earned a 77.0 grade. As a freshman in 2024, he appeared in eight games and posted four tackles.
