Dyson McCutcheon is a nickelback from Claremont, California, who attended Bishop Amat High School before playing at the University of Washington. At Bishop Amat, he earned first-team All-CIF Southern Section Division I honors as a junior and was named to MaxPreps' 2020 preseason All-California team. McCutcheon redshirted his freshman year in 2021, then appeared in five games as a redshirt freshman in 2022, recording one tackle and a pass breakup. In 2023, he played in seven games and totaled four tackles. During his redshirt junior season in 2024, McCutcheon appeared in 12 of 13 games, posting 14 tackles and two pass breakups. He sat out the 2025 season while recovering from injury. McCutcheon has transferred to Middle Tennessee as a graduate student.
