Gumbo Gaskins is a 6'1", 191-pound nickelback from Jonesboro, GA who prepped at Hapeville Charter, where he recorded 14 tackles and two interceptions as a senior while helping the school reach the playoffs. He began his college career at Vanderbilt in 2022 before appearing in five games as a redshirt freshman in 2023, tallying four tackles against Georgia and one stop versus Ole Miss. After transferring to Samford, Gaskins saw action in eight of eleven games in 2024 with six tackles including three solo stops, then played all 12 games in 2025 as a redshirt junior, finishing with 32 tackles, one tackle for loss, two interceptions, two pass breakups and two hurries. He now joins Middle Tennessee as a transfer.
