Kayd Coffman is a true freshman quarterback for the Michigan State Spartans who enrolled in January 2026. The 6'2", 206-pound native of Kentwood, Michigan, played at East Kentwood High School under Coach Ty Spencer. A four-star recruit ranked No. 364 nationally in the 247 Composite, Coffman was named the No. 1 quarterback in Michigan for the Class of 2026 by recruiting services. During his senior season, he threw for 35 touchdowns and 2,787 yards on 65 percent completion (194-of-299) while adding eight rushing touchdowns and 695 rushing yards.
