Ke'Rynn Smith is a true freshman running back from Metairie, Louisiana, who attended Holy Cross in New Orleans' Catholic League. A three-star recruit ranked No. 30 in Louisiana, Smith accumulated 3,256 yards and 47 touchdowns across his four-year high school career, including 1,400 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns as a senior. He earned first-team All-District 9-5A honors and committed to Louisiana after considering programs including Houston, Arkansas, Pittsburgh, Indiana, and Oklahoma State, among others.
