Mason Welch is a quarterback for Louisiana Tech from Shreveport, Louisiana. He prepped at Shreveport-Northwood High School, where he started at the position as a sophomore and led the Falcons to district championships in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Welch earned all-state honors as a junior and all-district recognition, and was named KTBS Student Athlete of the Year in 2022. He played college football at Kilgore Junior College in 2023, appearing in 11 games with five completions for 72 yards and one touchdown. After redshirting in 2024, Welch saw action in two games during the 2025 season, recording three rushing attempts for 13 yards.
