Blake Baker, a 6'5" quarterback from Cypress, Texas, joined Louisiana Tech as a three-star recruit in 2023. He redshirted his freshman year before appearing in the first two games of 2024, recording 12-of-24 passing for 207 yards and a touchdown before suffering a collarbone injury. In 2025, Baker played in eight games with seven starts, completing 102-of-155 passes for 1,251 yards and five touchdowns. He posted 340 yards passing against Western Kentucky on October 21, along with 238 yards versus Southern Miss and 221 against Sam Houston. Baker added 260 rushing yards and three touchdowns. A season-ending injury ended his 2025 campaign against Delaware on November 8.
