Kolbe Fields is a 6'0", 225-pound side linebacker for Louisiana Tech who transferred from LSU. Originally from New Orleans, Fields attended Archbishop Rummel High School before beginning his college career at South Carolina in 2021, appearing in four games. He played in 11 games at LSU in 2022 as a backup linebacker, recording four total tackles. After sitting out the 2023 season following his transfer, Fields played and started 11 games in 2024, finishing second on the team with 71 tackles, nine tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one interception. In 2025, he appeared in five games before a season-ending injury, accumulating 39 tackles, two interceptions (including a 48-yard touchdown), 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks.
