Jeremiah Smith is a linebacker for Louisiana Tech who was recruited from Katy High School in Texas. A three-star prospect rated as the 270th-best linebacker in the 2026 class, Smith chose the Bulldogs over Pittsburgh, Southern Miss, Tulsa, and Arkansas State. He earned first-team all-district honors as a sophomore, junior, and senior. During his sophomore season, he recorded one interception and two touchdowns while posting eight tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. As a junior, Smith compiled 62 tackles with 12 tackles for loss and five sacks. His senior year featured 68 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, and four pass breakups.
