Jeremiah Smith is a linebacker for Louisiana Tech who was recruited from Katy High School in Texas. A three-star prospect rated as the 270th-best linebacker in the 2026 class, Smith chose the Bulldogs over Pittsburgh, Southern Miss, Tulsa, and Arkansas State. He earned first-team all-district honors as a sophomore, junior, and senior. During his sophomore season, he recorded one interception and two touchdowns while posting eight tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. As a junior, Smith compiled 62 tackles with 12 tackles for loss and five sacks. His senior year featured 68 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, and four pass breakups. Smith currently serves as a true freshman at Louisiana Tech.
