Jadon Mayfield is a redshirt sophomore linebacker for Louisiana Tech from Ruston, LA. A three-star recruit in the 2024 class, Mayfield appeared in five games during his freshman year while redshirting, making his first career start in the Independence Bowl against Army on December 28. In 2025, he played in all 13 games, starting the final seven contests. He recorded 61 total tackles (18 solo, 43 assists), 9.0 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, five quarterback hurries, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble. He earned All-CUSA Freshman Team honors and was named to the CUSA Commissioner's Honor Roll for both 2025 and 2026.
