Chase Pensyl is a wide receiver from Shamokin, Pennsylvania, where he attended Shamokin Area High School. A multi-sport athlete, Pensyl earned PA Football News First Team Writers All-State honors as both a junior and senior, along with Second Team Coaches All-State recognition in those years. As a senior, he recorded 919 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns while adding 62 tackles on defense. His junior season saw 400 receiving yards and three touchdowns alongside 120 tackles. Pensyl joined James Madison as a redshirt freshman and was named the Scout Team Special Teams MVP in 2025, though he did not appear in game action that season.
