AJ Watkins is a 6'1", 191-pound wide receiver from Lithonia, Georgia, who prepped at Norcross High School. As a senior quarterback, he earned First-Team All Region 7 honors for GHSA Class 7A and was named Class 7A Region 7 Player of the Year after totaling 1,114 passing yards, 1,103 rushing yards, and 370 receiving yards while scoring 17 rushing touchdowns, nine passing touchdowns, and three receiving touchdowns. He joined Jacksonville State as a three-star recruit in 2024. Watkins redshirted during his initial season and missed the 2025 campaign due to injury. He is currently a redshirt sophomore returning to the Gamecocks roster.
