Derek Weisskopf is a 6'3", 233-pound weak-side linebacker from Victor, Iowa, who played at Williamsburg High School. A four-star recruit in the 2024 class, he did not appear in games as a true freshman. In 2025, his second season, Weisskopf played in 12 games as a letterwinner, recording four total tackles including his first career solo tackle against Penn State and three assisted tackles versus Minnesota. He also returned one kickoff for 11 yards in a loss to #9 Oregon. Off the field, he made the Dean's List in spring 2025 and was a team leader on defense.
