Anthony Hawkins is a safety who transferred to Iowa from Villanova. The 6'3", 202-pound defender from Annapolis, Maryland played at Broadneck High School before attending Choate Rosemary Hall for a postgraduate year. At Villanova, Hawkins appeared in 15 games during 2025, recording 59 tackles (third on the team), four tackles for loss, two interceptions, nine pass break-ups and one forced fumble. He earned FCS second-team Freshman All-American honors from Phil Steele and posted a season-high seven tackles against Monmouth.
