Malcolm Jones is a 6'1", 219-pound safety who transferred to Iowa State from Jacksonville State. At Lee County High School in Camilla, Georgia, he was named to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Class 6A All-State First Team. After redshirting at Michigan State in 2022, Jones appeared in eight games during his 2023 season, recording four tackles. He transferred to Jacksonville State and played in 12 games in 2024, finishing with 13 tackles. In 2025, Jones played in 14 games with nine starts, recording 55 tackles including 5.0 for loss and 3.0 sacks while forcing two fumbles and recovering one.
