Jake Jones is a 6'2", 292-pound true freshman defensive end for Iowa State from Gilbert, Arizona. He attended Campo Verde High School, where he was a three-star recruit ranked No. 31 overall in Arizona by national outlets and earned multiple accolades including 5A San Tan Region Player of the Year and Region Defensive Player of the Year as a junior. As a senior, Jones posted 53 tackles with eight for loss and 7.5 sacks, adding an interception.
