Tyler Burnstein is a 6'4", 243-pound true freshman defensive lineman from Phoenix, Arizona, who attends Iowa State. He prepped at Liberty High School under head coach Collin Thomas, where he was rated a three-star recruit and ranked as the No. 19 prospect in Arizona by national outlets. As a senior, Burnstein recorded 53 tackles, 17 for loss, and seven sacks, earning 6A Desert Valley All-Region First Team honors and Defensive Lineman of the Year for the 2025 Arizona High School Football Awards. His senior season helped Liberty reach a 10-1 record and advance to the Arizona State Football Championships Open Division semifinals. The program won the state championship in 2024.
