Carson Boyd is a quarterback for the Illinois Fighting Illini. A three-star recruit from Cardinal Ritter in St. Louis, Missouri, Boyd passed for 7,148 yards and 88 touchdowns while rushing for 2,350 yards and 20 touchdowns during his high school career, leading Cardinal Ritter to a 48-5 record. As a senior, he recorded 3,243 passing yards with 27 passing touchdowns and 1,162 rushing yards with 9 rushing touchdowns. Boyd earned multiple honors including 2024 Rivals Camp Series MVP, 2024 Under Armour Camp MVP, and 2023 Elite 11 Camp Series MVP. He redshirted during the 2025 season and is currently a redshirt freshman.
