Alex Perry is a 6'5" wide receiver for Illinois, joining the program in 2026 as a transfer from Florida International with one year of eligibility remaining. At FIU in 2025, Perry earned All-CUSA First Team honors after starting all 13 games and recording 56 receptions for 840 yards and nine touchdowns. He led the Owls in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns while posting back-to-back 100-yard performances against Jacksonville State and Sam Houston and recording a career-high 140 yards against Sam Houston. Perry previously played at Hawaii, appearing in 12 games as a redshirt freshman in 2023 with 24 receptions for 277 yards and three touchdowns, and in all 12 games with seven starts in 2024 with 22 receptions for 195 yards.
