Jacob Eberhart is a safety for Illinois who hails from Kirkwood High School in St. Louis, Missouri. A four-star recruit by Rivals, he earned rankings of #271 nationally and #22 at his position from Rivals, while recruiting services ranked him #36 and #37 respectively at safety. He recorded 912 total yards, 50 tackles, and six pass breakups in high school while also competing in track, reaching state finals in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays. Eberhart received offers from numerous major programs including Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and USC. Born November 13, 2007, he is the son of Jason Eberhart, a four-year letterwinner for Illinois from 1997-2000.
