A three-star recruit, Dixon redshirted in 2023 before appearing in all 13 games as a redshirt freshman in 2024, recording 18 receptions for 264 yards with 10 starts. In 2025, his sophomore season, he started all 13 games and led the team with 5 receiving touchdowns while accumulating 35 receptions for 548 yards. Dixon ranks 14th in the Big Ten in receiving touchdowns and was named Athlon Preseason All-Big Ten Fourth Team for 2026.
