JD Rhym is a left cornerback from Valdosta, Georgia, who transferred to Houston from Auburn. A consensus 4-star recruit in the 2022 class, Rhym recorded 20 tackles and one interception across 10 games during his two seasons at Auburn (2022-23), including one start at cornerback against Mississippi State. At Houston, he appeared in all 12 games as a sophomore in 2024, logging 158 total snaps with 135 on special teams and contributing 23 defensive snaps. In 2025, Rhym played in nine games with 113 snaps, primarily on special teams, and earned an 83.3 grade against West Virginia.
