Jalen Mayo is a 6'2", 190-pound right cornerback from Hampton, Virginia, who attended Phoebus High School. He spent three seasons at Virginia Union, where he recorded 75 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss at the NCAA Division II level, and added 10 pass breakups over his final two seasons. Mayo transferred to Stephen F. Austin for the 2025 season, earning All-Southland Conference First Team honors and All-American selection. In seven games at SFA, he posted three tackles including a tackle for loss in his debut against Houston, and he tied for the team lead with four interceptions. Mayo now joins Houston as a transfer.
