Niko Baumgartner is a 6'2", 200-pound linebacker from Concord, California who attended De La Salle High School. At De La Salle, he lettered and started three years on varsity, earning first-team All-League honors and helping his team win the section title all three seasons. As a senior in 2024, he recorded 85 tackles with 14.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and an interception across 11 games. Baumgartner compiled 128 tackles in 21 varsity games overall and was named a team captain. During the 2025 season, he appeared in four games primarily on special teams while redshirted, recording two tackles total. He is a returning redshirt freshman for Fresno State.
