Maddox Merrill is a true freshman running back for the Fresno State Bulldogs. The 5'7", 190-pound native of Clovis, California, attended Clovis High School, where he was a four-year varsity football player and earned Offensive Player of the Year honors along with first-team all-conference selection. He was named the Fresno Bee's 2025 Preseason High School Football Player of the Year. Merrill also competed in baseball for four years at Clovis HS, earning first-team honors and winning MVP and silver slugger awards.
