Mitch Griffis is a quarterback from Ashburn, Virginia, who attended Broad Run High School. He began his college career at Wake Forest in 2020, appearing in 19 games with 10 starts across four seasons. Griffis completed 157 of 263 passes for 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions while rushing for 141 yards and two scores with the Demon Deacons. In 2023, his final year at Wake Forest, he started all nine games as co-captain, completing 124 of 207 passes for 1,553 yards with nine touchdowns. He transferred to Texas Tech for the 2025 season, playing in seven games and completing 26 of 36 passes for 357 yards with two touchdown passes. Griffis enrolled at East Carolina in January 2026 as a mid-year graduate transfer.
