Kanen Hamlett is a 6'4", 235-pound tight end from Madison, Alabama who attended Madison Academy before joining Appalachian State in 2022. The redshirted true freshman made his collegiate debut against Robert Morris in 2022. Over three seasons with the Mountaineers (2023-25), Hamlett appeared in 38 games with three starts, recording 17 receptions for 177 yards and four touchdowns. In 2025, his final year at App State, he caught 13 passes for 142 yards with two scores, including a career-high six receptions and 72 yards against Old Dominion. Hamlett transferred to East Carolina in January 2026.
