Obinna Umeh is a defensive end for Duke, standing 6'3" and weighing 230 pounds. The Houston native attended St. Thomas High School, where he lettered four seasons under head coach Raymond Davis. As a senior, Umeh recorded 71 tackles, 22.0 tackles for loss, and 11.0 sacks while helping St. Thomas to an 8-1 regular season and earning TAPPS First Team All-State honors and the 2025 VYPE Awards Private School Defensive Player of the Year. He was rated a three-star prospect by national outlets and a four-star by recruiting services, ranking as the No. 28 edge rusher nationally by Rivals.
