Richard Young is a running back from Lehigh Acres, Florida, who played four seasons at Lehigh Senior High School under head coach James Chaney. He finished his prep career with 4,693 rushing yards and 42 touchdowns on 571 carries, earning selection to the Under Armour All-America Game. Young spent three seasons at Alabama (2023–25), appearing in 15 games with five total touchdowns. During the 2025 season, he rushed 23 times for 64 yards and two touchdowns. In 2024, he accumulated 146 yards and scored against LSU. Young now transfers to Colorado as an undergraduate with two years of eligibility remaining.
