Jay Haynes is a running back from Roanoke, Alabama, who played at Handley High School before joining Clemson. Standing 5'11" and weighing 200 pounds, Haynes enters 2026 as a returning player. Through his first two seasons with the Tigers, he appeared in 16 games on 164 offensive snaps, accumulating 49 carries for 330 yards with four rushing touchdowns, nine receptions for 52 yards and one receiving touchdown, and 11 kickoff returns for 207 yards. In 2024, he rushed 43 times for 295 yards and three touchdowns while catching seven passes for 32 yards across 13 games, including a career-high 118 yards on five carries with two touchdowns against The Citadel.
