Curtis Simpson is a left defensive end for Charlotte at 6'4" and 230 pounds. A native of Shelby, North Carolina, Simpson attended Kings Mountain High School before redshirting during the 2024 season at North Carolina. In his first year at Charlotte as a redshirt sophomore in 2025, Simpson appeared in all games except against Rice with four starts. He registered 30 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks while ranking third on the team in TFLs and second on defense in sacks. Simpson also added four quarterback hurries, a pass breakup, and a forced fumble to his defensive ledger.
