Matthew Fredrick is a 6'5", 242-pound tight end from Salt Lake City, UT, and a true freshman at BYU. A three-star recruit ranked 1731 overall in the 2023 class, Fredrick comes from East High School, where he compiled 31 receptions for 567 yards during his senior season. He served as a two-year captain and earned all-region honors twice. Beyond football, Fredrick competed in basketball and rugby, captaining the latter for three years as a starter. He served an LDS mission to the Marshall Islands and Kiribati, where he learned the Kiribati language. From Salt Lake City, UT.
