Jonathan Kabeya is a junior nickelback for BYU out of Euless, Texas. A 3-star recruit with a composite score of 86, he was a 6A All-District First Team selection and 5A All-District First Team honoree in 2021 and 2022 as a junior and senior at Byron Nelson High School. In high school, Kabeya recorded 10 career interceptions and 55 solo tackles while also handling kick and punt return duties. During his redshirt year in 2025, Kabeya appeared in four regular season games and two postseason contests, including the Big 12 Championship and Pop-Tarts Bowl, posting 10 total tackles and one pass breakup at Texas Tech.
