Jacob Nye is a 6'5" tight end from Melissa, Texas, where he played multiple sports in high school. As a senior, he recorded 47 receptions for 800 yards and 13 touchdowns, earning first-team all-district honors in Texas District 4-5A D-II. Nye signed with BYU as a three-star recruit in the 2025 class. In his first season, he caught 17 passes for 189 yards and one touchdown. The redshirt freshman now wears No. 80 for the Cougars and is returning to the program. From Melissa, TX.
