Marceles Carey is a true freshman wide receiver for the Bowling Green Falcons from DeLand, Florida. At DeLand High School, Carey played running back, wide receiver, and cornerback over four varsity seasons under head coach Richard Darlington. He rushed for 2,313 career yards and 34 touchdowns while catching 74 passes for 1,456 yards and 12 scores. As a senior, Carey accumulated 31 total touchdowns, including 21 rushing and 7 receiving, and earned Orlando Sentinel Offensive Player of the Year honors. He also recorded six interceptions on defense, returning two for touchdowns, and posted 40 tackles.
