Maverick Gracio is a 6'4", 252-pound defensive end from West Palm Beach, Florida, who transferred to Ball State from Pittsburgh. At Cardinal Newman High School, he recorded 34 sacks over his final two seasons, including 22 sacks as a senior when he posted 58 tackles and two forced fumbles. He was named all-state and All-Palm Beach County as Cardinal Newman went 11-1 and reached the Florida Class 1M regional final. With the Panthers, Gracio appeared in four games during the 2024 redshirt freshman season, blocking a punt returned for a 24-yard touchdown in Pitt's 38-34 win over West Virginia. In 2025, he played in seven games and recorded one sack among four tackles before joining the Cardinals.
