Austin Stief is a 6'4", 246-pound defensive end from Orlando, Florida who transferred to Ball State for the 2026 season. A three-year starter at Division II Davenport University, Stief earned first-team All-GLIAC honors as a junior and honorable mention as a sophomore. In his final season with the Panthers, he recorded 35 tackles and 2.5 sacks. Over three years at Davenport, he totaled 19 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks while earning two College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections. At Cypress Creek High School in Florida, Stief finished his prep career with 240 tackles, 44 tackles for loss, and 18 sacks, earning first-team all-metro and all-conference recognition as a senior.
