Bodie Derrer is a redshirt sophomore quarterback for Ball State entering his third year in the program. The 6'2", 210-pound signal-caller from Arcadia, Indiana attended Hamilton Heights High School, where he was a two-year letterwinner and two-time academic all-state selection. As a high school senior, he earned first-team all-conference honors and team captain status while recording 3,708 passing yards, 40 passing touchdowns, and 13 rushing touchdowns. Derrer has served as a scout quarterback during his two seasons on campus and did not see game action in 2024 or 2025.
